Backbone Ops provides AI-powered software tools that help subcontractor coordinators capture, organize, and act on job updates communicated via WhatsApp and similar messaging platforms. The platform processes incoming messages and surfaces structured job data through a web dashboard.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Backbone Ops. By using the platform, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or any business you represent.

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use Backbone Ops only for lawful business purposes. You agree not to:

• Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or its infrastructure
• Process data you do not have the right to use or share
• Use the platform to facilitate spam, harassment, or any unlawful communications
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the platform

4. Messaging Integrations

Backbone Ops connects to third-party messaging platforms including WhatsApp via Twilio. By enabling these integrations, you confirm that:

• You have the right to process communications received through your connected accounts
• You will comply with the terms and policies of any messaging platform connected to your account
• You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from individuals whose messages are processed

5. Data Responsibility

You retain ownership of all data you bring into or generate through Backbone Ops. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the services described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your business data.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable and consistent access to the platform, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Backbone Ops shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in misuse. You may stop using the platform at any time.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
